Botox Upper Face (3 Areas) in Mirdif, Dubai

Villa 44C, 83rd Street, Mirdif Medically supervised +971 4 268 8226

Botox upper face (3 areas) in Mirdif, Dubai is the standard treatment and
the right place to start — forehead lines, frown lines and crow’s feet, treated together as
one balanced plan. It is the most-booked toxin treatment worldwide and the one almost every
first-time patient should have. At Dermabloom Medical Center, Villa 44C, 83rd Street, Mirdif,
Dr Sarah Magdy assesses and injects. Call 04 268 8226.

If you have never had toxin before, this page is written for you. It covers what each of
the three areas actually is, roughly how many units it takes, what each one realistically
achieves — and why treating one area alone is the most common way a first treatment goes
wrong.

Botulinum toxin type A is a prescription medicine. Botox® is one brand of it. It is
prescribed only after a face-to-face consultation and is not suitable for everyone; see the
risks and contraindications below.

Area 1: Forehead Lines (Frontalis)

What it is: the horizontal lines across the forehead, from the frontalis
muscle — a broad vertical sheet that is the only muscle lifting your eyebrows.

Typical dose: around 8 to 20 units, depending on forehead height, muscle
strength and sex. Men generally need more.

What it achieves: horizontal lines soften markedly. Deep static lines
etched in at rest improve but do not vanish.

The catch, and it is important: this is the easiest area on the face to
over-treat. Relax the frontalis too much and your brows drop, giving a heavy, hooded feeling
— the classic complaint after a first treatment elsewhere. Correct dosing here is
deliberately restrained, and some forehead movement is retained on purpose. Anyone injecting
your forehead heavily on a first visit is not doing you a favour.

Area 2: Frown Lines (Glabella)

What it is: the vertical “11s” between the eyebrows, produced by the
corrugator and procerus muscles pulling the brows inward and down.

Typical dose: around 15 to 25 units, spread across five or so injection
points.

What it achieves: the most consistently satisfying area on the face. Frown
lines soften reliably, and because the corrugators pull the brow down, relaxing them
often lifts the inner brow slightly and opens the eyes. Many patients report looking less
tired or less severe — an effect independent of the lines themselves.

Worth knowing: if you only ever treat one area, this is the one with the
best return. It is also the area where results last most reliably.

Area 3: Crow’s Feet (Orbicularis Oculi)

What it is: the fine lines fanning outward from the outer corner of the
eye when you smile or squint, from the ring-shaped orbicularis oculi muscle.

Typical dose: around 5 to 15 units per side, placed superficially.

What it achieves: lines soften noticeably during expression. Injections
sit just under the skin and stay lateral to the eye — placement matters here more than
volume.

Realistic limits: crow’s feet caused by sun damage and thin skin rather
than muscle movement respond only partially. Under-eye crepiness is not treated by toxin at
all and needs skin treatments instead. In Dubai’s UV, sun-related eye-area lines are
extremely common, so this distinction comes up often.

Why Three Areas Rather Than One

The three upper-face muscles work against each other. The frontalis lifts; the corrugators
and procerus pull down. Treat one and ignore the other and the balance shifts, sometimes
visibly.

  • Forehead alone — the frontalis relaxes while the depressors keep
pulling down. Result: heavier brows, and the frown lines often look worse by contrast.
This is the single most common first-treatment regret.
  • Frown lines alone — generally safe and effective, and a reasonable
minimal option. Some patients then notice their forehead lines more.
  • Crow’s feet alone — safe, but a narrow result that leaves the rest of
    the upper face untouched.
  • All three — the muscles stay in proportion to one another. This is why
the three-area treatment is the standard rather than an upsell.

If your budget only stretches to one area, ask for the glabella and come back for the rest.
You will be advised that here rather than sold three areas you cannot afford.

Your First Appointment: What to Expect

  1. Consultation. Medical history, medications, allergies, any
neuromuscular condition. Bring a list. Photographs are taken for your record.
  2. Expression assessment. You will be asked to frown, raise your brows,
smile and squint. Muscle strength and pattern vary between people, and dosing follows what
your face actually does — not a chart.
  3. Plan and consent. Areas, approximate units, expected outcome, risks and
price, all agreed before anything starts.
  4. Injections. A very fine needle, roughly 15 to 25 small injections
across the three areas. Ten to fifteen minutes. Most people describe a brief sting.
  5. Straight back to your day. No downtime; small bumps at injection points
    settle within the hour.
  6. Two-week review, included. For a first treatment this matters — it is
where dosing is calibrated to how your muscles actually responded.

Common First-Timer Mistakes

  • Judging it too early. Nothing meaningful happens before day three, and
the result is not complete until day fourteen. Do not panic on day four.
  • Asking for a heavy dose. Under-dosing is fixable in two weeks.
Over-dosing means waiting three months. Start conservative — always.
  • Chasing static lines. Lines visible when your face is completely still
need skin treatment or filler alongside. Toxin treats movement lines.
  • Booking days before an event. Leave at least two to three weeks, so
the result has settled and any adjustment can be made.
  • Skipping the review. Slight asymmetry at two weeks is normal and
easily corrected. Left alone, it lasts three months.
  • Price-shopping on the headline. AED 199 or AED 499 offers usually mean
one area, very few units, or heavily diluted product. Compare units, not banners.

Preventative or “Baby” Dosing

Younger patients in their late twenties and thirties often want prevention rather than
correction. Lower doses across the same three areas reduce the repetitive folding that turns
dynamic lines into permanent creases, while keeping full expression.

It is a legitimate approach — but only when there is something to prevent. If your lines
do not appear even on strong expression, you do not need treatment yet, and you will be told
so rather than started on a course you do not need.

Timeline and Duration

  • Days 3–5. First changes.
  • Day 14. Full effect — judge and adjust here.
  • Months 3–4. Typical duration. A first treatment may fade slightly
sooner; duration often improves with regular treatment as muscles weaken with less
    use.
  • Faster metabolism, strong muscles, intense exercise and low doses all
    shorten it.

Risks and Side Effects

Common and temporary: small bruises, pinpoint redness, mild headache for a day or two,
slight swelling at injection points.

Less common: temporary brow or eyelid droop, usually resolving within weeks; asymmetry,
correctable at your two-week review; an over-arched “Spock” brow from uneven forehead dosing;
a heavy brow from over-treating the forehead; a flu-like feeling for a day. Rare: allergic
reaction, or spread of effect beyond the intended muscle.

Almost all of these come down to dose and placement rather than the product itself.

Who Should Not Have It

Not suitable if you are pregnant or breastfeeding; have a neuromuscular
disorder such as myasthenia gravis, Lambert-Eaton syndrome or motor neurone disease; have a
known allergy to botulinum toxin or any component; or have an active skin infection at the
injection site.

Tell the doctor before booking if you take aminoglycoside antibiotics,
muscle relaxants or blood thinners; have had toxin treatment recently, and where; have a
bleeding disorder; have had eyelid or brow surgery; or have had a previous poor result — the
specifics are clinically useful.

Aftercare

  • Stay upright for four hours — no lying flat or face-down.
  • No rubbing, pressing or massaging the treated areas for 24 hours.
  • No gym, sauna, steam room or hot yoga for 24 hours.
  • No facials, peels or microneedling for two weeks.
  • Avoid alcohol on the day — it increases bruising.

Price in Mirdif, Dubai

Dubai clinics price per unit — roughly AED 30 to 60 — or per area, commonly AED 800 to
1,500. A three-area upper face treatment generally falls between AED 2,000 and AED 4,000,
using around 40 to 60 units in total. Three-area packages are normally better value than
buying areas separately.

Treat very low advertised prices with scepticism. They typically cover one area, a token
number of units, or product diluted beyond usefulness — and a treatment that does nothing is
the most expensive one available. Dermabloom quotes a firm price at consultation with units
and areas stated. Call 04 268 8226. Cosmetic treatment is not
covered by UAE health insurance.

Why Start at Dermabloom in Mirdif

the syringe matters more than anything else on this page.

    never guessed high.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which three areas are included?

Forehead lines (frontalis), frown lines between the brows (glabella) and crow’s
feet at the outer eyes (orbicularis oculi). These are the three standard upper-face
zones, typically using around 40 to 60 units in total depending on muscle strength
and sex.

Can I just have my forehead treated?

You can, but it is the option most likely to disappoint. The frontalis is the only
muscle lifting your brows, while the frown muscles pull them down. Relax the forehead
alone and the depressors keep pulling — brows feel heavier and frown lines often look
worse by contrast. If you only want one area, the glabella gives the best result.

How much does 3-area upper face treatment cost in Mirdif, Dubai?

Typically AED 2,000 to AED 4,000 in Dubai, based on roughly AED 30 to 60 per unit
or AED 800 to 1,500 per area, using around 40 to 60 units. Three-area packages are
usually better value than separate areas. Be sceptical of AED 199 or AED 499 offers —
they generally mean one area or very few units. Call 04 268 8226 for a firm quote.

I have never had it before — how much should I start with?

Conservatively. Under-dosing can be topped up at your two-week review;
over-dosing means waiting three months for it to wear off. A restrained first
treatment across all three areas, then calibration at review, is the approach that
produces a natural result and no regrets.

When will I see results and how long do they last?

First changes at three to five days, full effect at fourteen days — which is when
the result should be judged. It typically lasts three to four months. Your first
treatment may fade slightly sooner, and duration often improves with regular
treatment.

Am I too young for preventative treatment?

Preventative low-dose treatment is legitimate from the late twenties onward, but
only when there is something to prevent — visible lines appearing on strong
expression. If your lines do not show even when you frown or raise your brows hard,
you do not need treatment yet, and that is what you will be told.

How long before an event should I book?

At least two to three weeks. That allows the full effect to develop by day
fourteen and leaves time for any adjustment at review. Never book a first-ever
treatment in the week before something important.

What are the risks?

Commonly small bruises, pinpoint redness, mild headache and slight swelling at
injection points. Less commonly temporary brow or eyelid droop, asymmetry correctable
at review, an over-arched brow, or a heavy-feeling forehead. Rarely allergic reaction
or spread beyond the intended muscle. It is not suitable during pregnancy or
breastfeeding, or with neuromuscular disorders.
