Full arms and legs laser hair removal in Mirdif, Dubai is the most popular package women buy, and it bundles two zones that behave almost nothing alike. Legs respond beautifully. Arms frequently do not. At Dermabloom Medical Center, Villa 44C, 83rd Street, Mirdif, Dr Sarah Magdy prices and plans them as two separate propositions inside one course. To book, call 04 268 8226 or message +971 56 598 6039.
Combining the four limbs genuinely saves money and appointments. However, a single package price can also hide the fact that one half will deliver far more than the other — so this page is about buying it well.
One Package, Two Very Different Zones
| Legs | Arms | |
|---|---|---|
| Typical hair | Coarse and dark, especially the shins | Often fine, soft and mid-brown |
| Response | Excellent | Partial — reduction rather than clearance |
| Sessions | Six to eight | Eight to ten |
| Session length | Thirty to forty-five minutes | Twenty to thirty minutes |
| Realistic outcome | Shaving stops almost entirely | Arm reads lighter, some fine hair stays |
| Weaker half | Thighs, which run finer than shins | Upper arms, sometimes barely responsive |
Read that table before you read any price. Legs are the zone laser was practically designed for, whereas a good deal of women’s arm hair sits at the edge of what laser can destroy at all.
How to Buy This Package Well
Four questions to ask, here or anywhere.
- Has anyone actually looked at my arm hair? Fine, pale arm hair responds poorly, and a package price does not change that. A doctor should examine both halves and say plainly what each will achieve.
- How many sessions does each zone get? Arms need more than legs, so a package of “eight sessions” serves legs generously and arms thinly.
- What happens when the legs finish first? See the next section, because this is where packages get awkward.
- Can I start with legs only? Sometimes that is the better purchase, and we will say so.
Plenty of women buy both and are delighted. Nevertheless a woman with very fine arm hair usually does better spending the same money on legs plus underarms plus the bikini area.
They Will Not Finish Together
Legs typically reach a settled result while the arms still need work. That is normal biology rather than a problem with your course.
Ask how the clinic handles it before you pay. At Dermabloom, additional arm sessions continue at the in-course rate rather than starting a fresh course, and we stop the legs once they are done rather than treating them out of habit.
Beware of any package that simply ends on a session count. Counting visits suits the clinic; counting results suits you.
Building the Package
Worth Adding
- Underarms. Cheapest zone, fastest response, five minutes per visit. Almost always worth including.
- Bikini area, if you shave it. Coarse hair responds well, and the ingrown hairs improve early.
- Hands and feet, since cleared forearms above hairy knuckles looks odd. Confirm whether they sit inside your quote.
Think Twice
- Upper arms, where hair is close to vellus. Forearms-only costs less and delivers most of the visible change.
- Any zone you do not actually mind. A package discount on something you would never have bought alone is not a saving.
Keratosis Pilaris Turns Up in Both Zones
One condition spans this whole package. Keratosis pilaris produces small firm bumps with a sandpaper texture, most often on the backs of the upper arms and the outer thighs — both inside your treatment area.
Laser does not treat it, so removing the hair leaves the bumps behind. It does have its own treatment though, and handling it alongside the course produces far better-looking limbs than treating the hair alone. Our arms page explains the condition properly. Additionally, we will not laser over actively inflamed patches, since that invites pigmentation.
One Appointment, Two Sets of Settings
This is the technical reason the package needs care.
Fine arm hair demands adequate energy, because under-treating it can stimulate the follicle rather than destroy it. Shins demand the opposite, since skin over the tibia sits thin with almost no padding and tolerates less. So the two zones pull the settings in opposing directions within a single visit.
We handle that by treating them as separate jobs. Each zone gets its own fluence, its own test patch area and its own pace, and nobody carries one setting down the body to save time. Legs come first while you are freshest, and arms follow.
Device Choice Depends on Your Skin
- Nd:YAG 1064nm for Fitzpatrick IV to VI. The longer wavelength cuts competing absorption by melanin in the skin itself.
- Alexandrite and diode for Fitzpatrick I to V, and both handle fine arm hair better than the alternatives.
- IPL suits neither darker skin nor fine hair.
One more scheduling note: forearms and lower legs are the skin that actually tans in Dubai, so those sessions get postponed most often. Our men’s arms and legs page sets out the full tan calendar.
What It Will Not Do
- Treat grey, white, blonde or red hair.
- Clear fine, pale arm hair.
- Improve keratosis pilaris.
- Remove thread or varicose veins.
- Clear existing dark marks, although it stops new ones forming.
- Work on tanned skin.
- Come undone. Treated follicles do not return.
Your Course
- Consultation. Dr Sarah assesses shins, thighs, forearms and upper arms separately, along with your Fitzpatrick type, current tan, keratosis pilaris, moles, veins and any circulation history. She then states what each zone will realistically achieve.
- Test patch below the knee, followed by a short wait.
- Treatment. Sixty to seventy-five minutes for all four limbs, legs first, with cooling throughout. Splitting across two appointments is easy to arrange.
- Course. Six to eight rounds for legs and eight to ten for arms, six to eight weeks apart.
- Maintenance, occasional, and more likely on the arms.
Before and After
Before: shave all four limbs the day before or the morning of treatment. Stop waxing, plucking and epilating four weeks beforehand. Avoid sun, self-tan and spray tan for two to four weeks, and wash any product off completely. Skip heavy creams and oils on the day. Finally, tell us about isotretinoin, photosensitising medication, pregnancy, varicose veins, ankle swelling and any circulation problem.
Afterwards: expect redness and small bumps around the follicles for a few hours to a day. Cool compresses and a bland moisturiser settle it. Meanwhile skip gym, sauna, steam, swimming and hot baths for 48 hours, and leave tight leggings and compression sleeves off for a day. Keep SPF 50 on forearms and lower legs throughout the course. Shedding over one to three weeks is normal, and it is not regrowth. Resume any keratosis pilaris routine after a couple of days.
Risks
Common and expected: redness, perifollicular swelling, brief stinging, and shedding over the following weeks. Limbs are among the more comfortable zones.
Less common: post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, temporary hypopigmentation, folliculitis, and a flare of keratosis pilaris. Pigment on the lower legs clears more slowly than pigment elsewhere, so marks there can persist for months.
Uncommon but more consequential: burns and blistering, most often from treating recently tanned forearms or lower legs. Scarring follows rarely. Paradoxical hypertrichosis — fine hair turning coarser instead of disappearing — is the specific risk on arms, and inadequate fluence drives it. That is exactly why we do not treat gently across the whole package to feel safe.
Who We Cannot Treat
Laser does not suit pregnancy, recently tanned or sunburned skin, skin carrying self-tan residue, active infection, open wounds or ulcers, inflamed lesions, actively inflamed keratosis pilaris, an untreated rash, or a photosensitivity disorder. We also work around tattoos, varicosities and any pigmented lesion rather than treating over them.
Please raise these before booking: diabetes, neuropathy, venous insufficiency, ankle swelling or previous leg ulceration; a keloid tendency; vitiligo or another pigmentary disorder; and recent isotretinoin or photosensitising medication. Additionally, mention any mole on your arms or legs that is new, growing, irregular or changing — see skin lesion excision.
Price
The package costs well below two separate courses, and adding underarms costs very little on top. Ask three things before paying: how many sessions each zone receives, whether hands and feet sit inside the quote, and what happens when the legs finish before the arms. Dermabloom quotes a firm price at consultation, naming every zone and the device — call 04 268 8226. UAE health insurance does not cover cosmetic hair removal.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the package good value if my arm hair is fine?
Often not, and we would rather say so first. Laser needs melanin and coarseness, so fine pale arm hair responds partially at best. A woman in that position usually does better spending the same money on legs plus underarms plus the bikini area. Dr Sarah examines both halves and tells you plainly what each will achieve.
Why do arms need more sessions than legs?
Because the hair gives the laser less to work with. Leg hair, especially on the shins, is coarse and dark — exactly what laser targets best, so six to eight sessions usually suffice. Arm hair is frequently finer and paler, which takes more energy and more attempts, so eight to ten is typical. A flat session count therefore serves legs generously and arms thinly.
What happens when my legs finish before my arms?
Ask this before you pay anywhere. Here, additional arm sessions continue at the in-course rate rather than starting a fresh course, and we stop treating legs once they are done instead of using up visits out of habit. Beware any package that simply ends on a session count, since counting visits suits the clinic while counting results suits you.
How long is one appointment?
Sixty to seventy-five minutes for all four limbs with cooling throughout. Legs take thirty to forty-five of that and arms twenty to thirty. We treat legs first, while you are freshest and the larger area still has your patience. Splitting across two appointments is easy to arrange if you prefer shorter visits.
Should I add underarms?
Almost always. Underarms are the cheapest zone, take about five minutes and respond faster than anywhere else, because the hair there is dense, dark and coarse. Adding them to a limbs package costs very little. The bikini area is also worth considering if you shave it, since coarse hair responds well and ingrown hairs improve early.
Can I skip my upper arms?
Yes, and many women should. Upper arm hair is often close to vellus and may show very little change however many sessions you buy. Forearms-only costs less and delivers most of the visible benefit. A package discount on an area that will not respond is not really a saving.
Are hands, feet and toes included?
Often they price separately, so confirm rather than assume. Most women want them once they picture the alternative, since cleared forearms above hairy knuckles looks conspicuous. Both sites need conservative treatment, because skin over the back of the hand and the top of the foot sits thin with very little padding over bone.
Will the bumps on my arms and thighs go?
No, because that is keratosis pilaris rather than a hair problem. It appears on the backs of the upper arms and the outer thighs, both inside this package, and laser does not treat it. However, it responds to its own treatment, and handling it alongside the course produces far better-looking limbs. We also avoid lasering over actively inflamed patches.
Do you use the same settings on my arms and legs?
Never, and here the two zones need opposite things. Fine arm hair demands adequate energy, since under-treating it can stimulate the follicle rather than destroy it. Shins demand less, because skin over the tibia sits thin with almost no padding. So each zone gets its own fluence and its own pace within the same appointment.
Why do some sessions get postponed?
Tan, usually on the forearms and lower legs — the skin that actually catches sun here while everything else stays pale. Tanned skin competes with the hair for laser energy, which raises the risk of burns and pigment change, so we postpone rather than reduce the setting. Our men’s arms and legs page sets out the full tan calendar.
Does it work on dark skin?
Yes, with the right device. We use Nd:YAG 1064nm for Fitzpatrick IV to VI, because the longer wavelength cuts competing absorption by melanin in the skin itself. Alexandrite and diode suit types I to V and handle fine arm hair better. IPL suits neither darker skin nor fine hair. A test patch always comes first, placed below the knee.
Will it treat the veins on my legs?
No. Hair removal lasers target melanin in the hair, whereas thread and varicose veins are blood vessels, so the laser passes them by. Treating veins needs a different device or technique and its own assessment. We also work around varicosities rather than firing over them, and we ask about circulation before treating lower legs.
Can I have it while pregnant?
We do not treat during pregnancy. No evidence suggests harm, yet nobody has studied it properly, so waiting is sensible. Pregnancy also shifts hormones and pigmentation, which affects your result and the pigmentation risk. Shaving stays perfectly safe meanwhile, and we will hold your plan until afterwards rather than expiring it.

Laser hair reduction is a medical procedure. A licensed medical practitioner must see you face to face and assess your skin first. The accurate term is permanent hair reduction rather than permanent removal, and laser does not put treated hair back. Response differs markedly between zones: leg hair generally responds well, while fine or pale arm hair responds only partially and some fine hair normally remains. Laser does not affect grey, white, blonde or red hair, does not treat keratosis pilaris, and does not treat thread veins or varicose veins. Session counts quoted are typical rather than guaranteed, and zones within a package commonly complete at different times. We do not treat during pregnancy, on recently tanned skin or skin carrying tanning product, over varicosities, ulcers, open wounds, inflamed keratosis pilaris or untreated rash, over tattoos, or over pigmented lesions. Diabetes, neuropathy, venous insufficiency and previous leg ulceration require assessment before lower-limb treatment. Darker skin types carry a higher risk of pigmentary change. Nothing on this page is a diagnosis. Laser does not suit everyone, and results vary between individuals. Dermabloom Medical Center — DHA Licence No. [INSERT DHA LICENCE NUMBER].
