Full Body Laser Hair Removal in Mirdif, Dubai

Villa 44C, 83rd Street, Mirdif Medically supervised +971 4 268 8226

Full body laser hair removal in Mirdif, Dubai is the largest thing a woman can buy in aesthetics, and the reason for buying it matters. If hair has appeared across many areas, that pattern deserves a proper look before you commit to anything. At Dermabloom Medical Center, Villa 44C, 83rd Street, Mirdif, Dr Sarah Magdy checks that first. To book, call 04 268 8226 or message +971 56 598 6039.

Plenty of women simply want everything smooth, and that is a perfectly good reason on its own. Even then, one appointment beforehand changes what you buy and how long the result lasts.

Hair Everywhere Is the Strongest Reason to Ask Why

Doctors assess hirsutism by scoring terminal hair across nine body areas. Those are the upper lip, chin, chest, upper abdomen, lower abdomen, upper back, lower back, upper arms and thighs.

Look at that list and notice something. A woman shopping for full body laser has usually described hair across several of those areas at once. In other words, the distribution that makes a whole-body package appealing is exactly the distribution that scores highly.

Polycystic ovary syndrome explains the large majority. Irregular or absent periods, acne, oily skin, scalp thinning and difficulty losing weight point the same way. Less commonly an inherited adrenal enzyme difference, a thyroid or prolactin problem, or a medication accounts for it.

None of this is alarming, and none of it says anything about you. Our full face page sets out the assessment and the blood tests, and Dr Sarah can arrange them or refer you.

What That Changes About What You Buy

Three things, all of which save you money.

  • Durability. An unmanaged hormonal driver keeps turning fine follicles into coarse ones. So you can finish a whole-body course, look excellent, and see new hair a year later on follicles that were dormant when we treated you.
  • Maintenance. Managing the cause alongside the laser means markedly fewer top-up sessions over the following years.
  • Scope. Sometimes the honest answer is to treat four zones properly and address the cause, rather than spread the same budget thinly across twelve.

Treating the hair while ignoring the driver is the single commonest way women waste money on laser.

What the Package Covers

Broadly: full legs, full arms, underarms, chest and stomach, full back and shoulders, and the nape. Two questions then decide what you are actually buying, and both catch people out.

Is My Face Included?

Almost never, and the reason is clinical rather than commercial. Facial hair behaves differently, carries a real risk of paradoxical hypertrichosis, and needs its own consultation and consent. Expect it to price separately.

Which Bikini Level?

This one matters most. A package quoting “bikini” may mean only the line a swimsuit exposes, while you assumed Brazilian. The price difference between those is substantial, and perianal treatment sits inside some quotes and outside others.

So ask for the level described rather than named. Our bikini page defines each one precisely, and you should hold any clinic to those definitions, including us.

Beyond that, our men’s full body page lists the areas nobody treats at all — scalp, brows, lashes, the areola and any pigmented lesion — and the same rules apply here.

Two Different Clocks

Women who add the face to a body course are running two schedules, and nobody explains this at booking.

Facial hair cycles faster, so those sessions sit four to six weeks apart. Body hair cycles slowly, so legs, back and arms sit six to eight weeks apart. Consequently the two will not line up in one monthly appointment.

In practice that means more visits than you expected, or a face appointment between body appointments. Neither is a problem once you plan for it. Trying to force both onto one calendar simply wastes facial sessions.

Your Cycle, and the Bikini Zone

Practical scheduling that a whole-body course makes more complicated.

We do not treat Brazilian or Hollywood levels during menstruation, for hygiene reasons. That matters more in a full-body course, because your appointment covers several zones at once.

Two workable approaches. Either book around your cycle where it is predictable, or let us treat everything else and pick up the bikini zone at a short separate visit. Simply call to move an appointment when timing shifts, and nobody needs an explanation.

If You Become Pregnant Midway

A whole-body course runs nine to fourteen months, so this happens, and it is worth knowing the answer in advance.

We stop treating. No evidence suggests harm, yet nobody has studied it properly, so pausing is the sensible position. Pregnancy also shifts hormones and pigmentation considerably, which affects both safety and result.

Your plan waits rather than expiring. We hold the remaining sessions, reassess your skin and hair afterwards, and restart when you are ready — after delivery, and with breastfeeding simply noted so we can plan around it. Hair growth often changes through pregnancy and the months following, so a fresh assessment at that point serves you better than resuming blindly.

Device Choice Depends on Your Skin

  • Nd:YAG 1064nm for Fitzpatrick IV to VI. The longer wavelength cuts competing absorption by melanin in the skin itself.
  • Alexandrite and diode for Fitzpatrick I to V, with diode covering large areas efficiently.
  • IPL does not suit darker skin types.

Settings also vary zone by zone rather than running uniform down the body, since a shin, an underarm and a décolletage tolerate very different things. Our men’s full body page explains why that matters across a long appointment.

What It Will Not Do

  • Treat grey, white, blonde or red hair, which on a whole body often means a genuinely mixed result.
  • Remove fine, pale downy hair.
  • Include your face unless you buy it separately.
  • Fix a hormonal cause, so new hair may still arrive.
  • Lighten skin anywhere, and we decline requests to.
  • Clear existing marks, keratosis pilaris, scars or veins.
  • Work on tanned skin.
  • Come undone. Treated follicles do not return.

Your Course

  1. Consultation. Dr Sarah assesses hair colour and coarseness zone by zone, checks your Fitzpatrick type and pigmentation, and asks about periods, acne, weight, scalp hair, medication and family history. Bloods or a referral follow where the distribution warrants it. We then agree the zone list and the bikini level in writing.
  2. Test patches, followed by a short wait.
  3. Treatment, split across two appointments rather than one long pass, at roughly ninety minutes each.
  4. Course. Six to eight rounds for the body and more for the arms and face, over nine to fourteen months.
  5. Maintenance, which depends largely on whether a hormonal driver exists and gets managed.

A female practitioner performs the treatment, and a chaperone is available on request without needing a reason.

Before and After

Before: shave every zone we are treating, the day before or the morning of your visit. Stop waxing, plucking, threading and epilating four weeks beforehand. Avoid sun, self-tan and spray tan for two to four weeks, and wash any product off completely. Arrive with underarms free of deodorant and no lotion on the areas. Finally, tell us about isotretinoin, photosensitising medication, pregnancy, breastfeeding, keloid history and any herpes history before bikini or facial work.

Afterwards: expect redness and small bumps around the follicles for a few hours to a day. Cool compresses and a bland moisturiser settle it. Because a whole-body visit treats everything at once, the aftercare applies everywhere at once — so skip gym, sauna, steam, swimming, hot tubs and hot baths for a full 48 hours. Avoid deodorant, tight leggings, underwiring and synthetic fabrics for a day. Keep SPF 50 on any skin that sees sun. Shedding over one to three weeks is normal, and it is not regrowth.

Risks

Common and expected: redness, perifollicular swelling, stinging, and shedding of treated hairs over the following weeks.

Less common: post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, temporary hypopigmentation, and folliculitis. Treating many zones at once means irritation appears in several places rather than one, which some women find more unsettling than painful.

Uncommon but more consequential: burns, blistering and scarring. Tanned skin causes most of them, and forearms and lower legs tan without anyone noticing. Certain sites need particular care across a whole body: the areola is never treated, mucosa is never treated, the shin sits thin over bone, and photodamaged décolletage skin tolerates less than you would expect. Paradoxical hypertrichosis mainly affects the face and neck, and our full face page covers it.

Who We Cannot Treat

Laser does not suit pregnancy, recently tanned or sunburned skin, skin carrying tanning product, active infection, open wounds or ulcers, inflamed lesions, an active or undiagnosed rash, or a photosensitivity disorder. We also work around tattoos, the areola, mucosa, varicosities and any pigmented lesion rather than treating over them.

Please raise these before booking: breastfeeding, diabetes, neuropathy, venous insufficiency or previous leg ulceration; a keloid tendency; hidradenitis suppurativa or recurrent boils; vitiligo or another pigmentary disorder; any herpes simplex history; and recent isotretinoin, photosensitising medication or anticoagulants. Additionally, mention any mole anywhere that looks new, growing, irregular or changing — see skin lesion excision.

Price

Full body gives the lowest price per zone by a wide margin. Still, compare it against the zones you would genuinely buy rather than against the sum of everything. Ask for the contents in writing, ask which bikini level the price assumes, and ask whether the face sits inside or outside. Dermabloom quotes a firm price at consultation, naming every zone and the device — call 04 268 8226. UAE health insurance does not cover cosmetic hair removal, although investigating a hormonal cause may be a different matter — worth asking your insurer.

Why Have It at Dermabloom in Mirdif

  • We ask why the hair is there, because a whole-body distribution is the strongest reason to check.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why do you want blood tests before a hair removal course?

Because widespread hair is the pattern that scores highest. Doctors assess hirsutism across nine areas — upper lip, chin, chest, upper and lower abdomen, upper and lower back, upper arms and thighs — and a woman shopping for full body has usually described several at once. PCOS explains the large majority. Finding it makes your result far more durable.

Will the hair come back after a full body course?

The follicles we treat do not return. However, an unmanaged hormonal driver keeps converting fine follicles into coarse ones, so new hair can appear a year later on follicles that were dormant during your course. That is the condition continuing rather than the laser failing, and it is the commonest way women waste money on laser.

Is my face included?

Almost never, here or anywhere else, and the reason is clinical rather than commercial. Facial hair behaves differently, carries a real risk of paradoxical hypertrichosis, and needs its own consultation and consent. Expect it to price separately, and ask any clinic to confirm that in writing before you pay.

Which bikini level does the package include?

Ask, because this is where quotes diverge most. A package saying “bikini” may mean only the line a swimsuit exposes, while you assumed Brazilian, and the price difference is substantial. Perianal treatment also sits inside some quotes and outside others. Ask for the level described rather than named, and hold every clinic to that — including us.

Why do my face sessions not line up with my body sessions?

Because facial hair cycles faster. Face sessions sit four to six weeks apart while body sessions sit six to eight, so the two schedules drift apart rather than meeting in one monthly appointment. Plan for a face visit between body visits. Forcing both onto one calendar simply wastes facial sessions on follicles that are not ready.

What happens if my period falls on my appointment?

We treat everything except Brazilian and Hollywood levels, which we do not perform during menstruation for hygiene reasons. Either book around your cycle where it is predictable, or let us cover the other zones and pick up the bikini area at a short separate visit. Call to move things when timing shifts, and no explanation is needed.

What if I get pregnant partway through?

We stop, and your plan waits rather than expiring. No evidence suggests harm, yet nobody has studied it properly, so pausing is sensible. Pregnancy also shifts hormones and pigmentation considerably. We hold the remaining sessions, reassess your skin and hair afterwards, and restart when you are ready — breastfeeding simply gets noted so we can plan around it.

How long does the whole thing take?

Nine to fourteen months from first session to finished result. Six to eight rounds for most body zones, more for arms and face, spaced six to eight weeks apart. That spacing cannot be compressed, because only follicles in the active growth phase respond. Most women see a clear difference after three or four rounds though.

Is it one long appointment?

No. Treating everything in one pass runs close to three hours, which is uncomfortable and tempts rushing. We split it across two appointments of roughly ninety minutes, usually within the same week or two, on the same cycle. Settings also vary zone by zone rather than running uniform, since a shin and an underarm tolerate very different things.

Should I buy everything, or start smaller?

Sometimes treating four zones properly and addressing the cause beats spreading the same budget across twelve. Dr Sarah will tell you which applies to you. Full body genuinely wins on price per zone, so it suits women who want most areas treated — just not women buying zones they would never have chosen alone.

Some of my hair is fine and pale. Will that respond?

Poorly or not at all, and on a whole body that matters more than on one zone. Laser targets melanin, so grey, white, blonde and red hairs give it nothing, and very fine pale hair gives it little. Expect a mixed result across zones. Dr Sarah will say honestly where the response will disappoint before you pay.

Will it lighten darker areas of my skin?

No, and we do not offer skin lightening anywhere on the body. Some darkening in folds and intimate areas is normal physiology. Darkening caused by years of shaving and ingrown hairs is different, and removing the hair stops new marks forming. Existing marks need their own treatment and fade slowly with sun protection.

Who treats me, and can I have a chaperone?

A female practitioner treats you, and a chaperone is available on request without needing a reason. Draping covers everything not being treated, and we uncover one area at a time. You can stop at any point during a session, and you may decline photographs of any area and still have treatment.

Laser hair reduction is a medical procedure. A licensed medical practitioner must see you face to face and assess your skin first. The accurate term is permanent hair reduction rather than permanent removal, and laser does not put treated hair back. Widespread coarse terminal hair in women may reflect an underlying hormonal cause, most commonly polycystic ovary syndrome; laser treats the hair rather than the cause, so new hair may still appear. Nothing on this page is a diagnosis, and it does not replace individual medical assessment. Laser does not affect grey, white, blonde or red hair, nor fine vellus hair, so whole-body results are frequently mixed. Package contents vary between clinics: confirm in writing which zones are included, which bikini level the price assumes, and whether the face sits inside or outside. Dermabloom does not offer skin lightening of any kind. We never treat scalp hair, eyebrows, eyelashes, the areola, mucosa or pigmented lesions, and we do not treat during pregnancy, on recently tanned skin, or over an active or undiagnosed rash. Darker skin types carry a higher risk of pigmentary change. Laser does not suit everyone, and results vary between individuals.
