Profhilo Body in Mirdif, Dubai

Villa 44C, 83rd Street, Mirdif Medically supervised +971 4 268 8226

Profhilo Body in Mirdif, Dubai improves skin quality on areas the face gets
all the attention for — crepey inner arms, softening above the knees, thinning skin on the
abdomen and décolletage. It is a bio-remodelling hyaluronic acid treatment, delivered at a
small number of mapped points rather than spread across the area. At Dermabloom Medical Center,
Villa 44C, 83rd Street, Mirdif, Dr Sarah Magdy assesses and treats. Call
04 268 8226.

Set expectations correctly before booking, because this is where most disappointment
originates: this treats skin quality, not body shape. It is not fat
reduction, not weight loss, not a cellulite treatment, and not a substitute for surgical skin
removal. If your concern is loose skin after significant weight loss or pregnancy, this will
not fix it — and you should be told that before you pay, not after.

Profhilo® is a registered trademark of its manufacturer. These are regulated medical
devices administered following a face-to-face consultation, and are not suitable for
everyone.

What Bio-Remodelling Actually Means

Most injectable hyaluronic acid is chemically cross-linked to make it last. This product
uses a different approach: a thermally stabilised hybrid complex of high and low molecular
weight hyaluronic acid, without chemical cross-linking agents.

The two weights do different jobs. The low molecular weight fraction releases relatively
quickly and drives fibroblast stimulation; the high molecular weight fraction provides
sustained hydration and holds the complex together for slower release. The combination
produces gradual improvement in hydration, elasticity and firmness rather than volume.

Because it spreads through the tissue plane rather than staying as a bolus, it is placed at
a defined number of points and allowed to diffuse — which is why sessions are quick despite
covering a large area.

Areas Treated

  • Inner upper arms. The most requested body area. Crepey, thinning skin
that becomes noticeable in sleeveless clothing — which in Dubai is most of the year.
  • Above the knees. Softening and fine wrinkling that shows in shorter
    hemlines and swimwear.
  • Abdomen. Skin quality and mild crepiness, including some post-pregnancy
texture change. Not a solution for significant loose skin or separation.
  • Décolletage and chest. Sun-damaged, thinning skin with fine
lines — one of the most rewarding areas, and heavily affected by this climate.
  • Neck. Skin quality and fine horizontal lines.
  • Inner thighs. Crepey texture.
  • Hands. Skin quality, often alongside filler for volume.

What It Will Not Do

  • Reduce fat or change body shape. No volume is removed, and none is
    added.
  • Treat cellulite. Cellulite is a structural issue involving fibrous
septae and fat, not skin hydration.
  • Tighten significant loose skin. After major weight loss or pregnancy,
excess skin needs surgical assessment. Bio-remodelling improves quality within the skin you
    have.
  • Remove stretch marks. Texture may soften marginally; the marks
    remain.
  • Fix abdominal separation (diastasis recti). That is a muscle problem
    needing physiotherapy or surgical assessment.
  • Clear pigmentation or sun spots. Those need pigment-directed
    treatment.

What it does do is improve how the skin itself looks and feels — better hydrated, firmer to
the touch, less papery, with fine crepiness reduced. For many patients that is exactly the
complaint. For others it is not, and honesty about which you are is the point of the
consultation.

How This Differs From Classic Skin Boosters

Both are injectable hyaluronic acid for skin quality, and they are frequently confused:

  • Classic skin boosters are microinjected in many small deposits spread
evenly across the area, focused primarily on hydration. Typically two to three sessions
    three to four weeks apart.
  • Bio-remodelling is placed at a small number of mapped points and
diffuses, using the dual-weight complex for slow release, and works on firmness and
elasticity as well as hydration. Two sessions four weeks apart.

Fewer injections, larger volume per point, and a different mechanism. Which suits you
depends on whether hydration or firmness is your main concern — see
HA skin
boosters
for the comparison.

One reassurance worth stating: unlike
collagen
stimulators such as PLLA and CaHA
, this is hyaluronic acid — so it can be dissolved with
hyaluronidase if ever needed. That is a meaningful difference in commitment.

Your Appointment

  1. Assessment. Skin quality, laxity, hydration and elasticity in the area
concerned — and crucially whether your issue is skin quality or genuine excess skin, because
    only one of those responds.
  2. Plan and consent. Areas, number of syringes, session schedule, expected
outcome and cost. Body areas need substantially more product than the face.
  3. Mapping. Injection points marked according to the area being
    treated.
  4. Treatment. Product placed at each point with a needle, in the correct
    subcutaneous plane. Thirty to forty-five minutes depending on area. Discomfort is modest;
    numbing cream can be used.
  5. Second session at four weeks. The protocol is two sessions — one is not
    a course.
  6. Review, then maintenance typically at six to nine months.

The Blebs — Expect Them

Because product is deposited at defined points rather than spread thinly, you will have
visible raised lumps at each injection site immediately afterwards. They look
more dramatic than the small bumps from classic boosters, because each contains more
product.

They flatten as the hyaluronic acid diffuses through the tissue. On the face this is
usually a matter of hours; on body areas it can take 24 to 48 hours, and
occasionally a little longer where skin is thicker or the area is less mobile.

Plan around it. Do not book this in the days before a beach holiday, wedding or event where
the treated area will be visible. Allow three to four days.

Timeline

  • Hours 0–48. Injection blebs flattening, possible bruising and mild
    tenderness.
  • Weeks 1–3. Skin begins to feel better hydrated and less papery.
  • Week 4. Second session.
  • Weeks 6–8. Peak result — firmness and texture at their best. Judge it
    here.
  • Around 6 months. Typical duration before maintenance, sometimes
    extending to nine.

Body skin responds more slowly than facial skin. It is thicker, has fewer fibroblasts per
unit area, and gets more mechanical stress — so be patient with inner arms and abdomen in
particular.

Aftercare

  • Do not massage or rub the treated area for 24 hours — let the blebs settle on their
    own.
  • No gym, sauna, steam or hot yoga for 24 to 48 hours.
  • Avoid tight or compressive clothing over the area for 24 hours.
  • No swimming pools or hot tubs for 24 hours.
  • Avoid direct sun on the treated area for a few days, and use sunscreen thereafter —
particularly on décolletage, arms and knees, where sun damage caused the problem in the
    first place.
  • No hair removal, waxing or shaving over the area for 48 hours.
  • No alcohol for 24 hours.
  • Report any persistent lump beyond a few days.

Risks

Common and expected: injection blebs for 24 to 48 hours, bruising —
reasonably common on arms and abdomen — mild swelling and tenderness.

Less common: persistent small nodules; longer-lasting lumps in thinner
skin; infection at an injection point; and rarely an inflammatory reaction. Delayed-onset
nodules are uncommon but recognised with any hyaluronic acid product.

Rare: vascular complications. Risk is lower than with facial filler
because placement is subcutaneous and body areas lack the dense facial vascular anatomy — but
it is not zero, and this should be performed by a medical injector.

Hyaluronidase is kept on site. Contact the clinic for any lump persisting
beyond a few days, and immediately for severe or increasing pain, skin colour change, or
spreading redness, heat or fever.

Who Should Not Have It

Not suitable if you are pregnant or breastfeeding; have an active skin
infection, inflamed acne, folliculitis or an open lesion in the treatment area; have a known
allergy to hyaluronic acid; or have a history of severe allergic reactions.

Discuss before booking if you take blood thinners or antiplatelet
medication — bruising is more likely on body areas; have an autoimmune or inflammatory
condition; have a history of keloid scarring; have had a previous reaction to a hyaluronic
acid product; have had recent vaccination; have significant excess skin rather than skin
quality change, where you will be disappointed; or have lymphoedema or a history of it in the
limb concerned.

Price in Dubai

Body treatment costs more than facial treatment because considerably more product is used
across larger areas. In Dubai, body protocols commonly run from around AED 3,500 upward, with
a full two-session course typically in the region of AED 3,600 to AED 5,000 depending on the
areas treated and the number of syringes required.

Facial bio-remodelling for comparison sits around AED 1,500 to AED 2,500 per session.
Always ask for the full two-session course price rather than a single-session figure, since
one session is not the protocol. Dermabloom quotes a firm price and plan at consultation with
the product named — call 04 268 8226. Confirm the product is
UAE-registered. Cosmetic treatment is not covered by UAE health insurance.

Why Have It at Dermabloom in Mirdif

  • Assessed by a dermatologist. Whether your concern is skin quality or
excess skin is the entire question, and getting it wrong wastes a course.
  • Honest expectations. You will be told plainly that this is not fat
reduction, not a cellulite treatment and not a substitute for surgery.
  • Reversible product. Hyaluronic acid, with hyaluronidase on site — a
genuine advantage over non-reversible collagen stimulators.
  • Warned about the blebs, and advised not to book before a holiday or
    event.
  • Correct two-session protocol, not sold as a one-off.
  • Sequenced sensibly alongside skin treatments, pigmentation care and sun
protection — because on arms, chest and knees, sun damage is usually part of the
    picture.
  • Local and convenient. Villa 44C, 83rd Street — minutes from Mirdif City
Centre with easy parking, serving Mirdif, Mirdif Hills, Uptown Mirdif, Al Warqa, Al Mizhar,
    Al Khawaneej and Rashidiya.
  • Evening and weekend appointments, and a female dermatologist as
    standard.

Frequently Asked Questions

Will it tighten my loose skin after weight loss or pregnancy?

No. Bio-remodelling improves the quality of the skin you have — hydration,
firmness, elasticity and fine crepiness. Genuine excess skin after significant weight
loss or pregnancy needs surgical assessment, and no injectable substitutes for that.
It also does not treat abdominal muscle separation, which needs physiotherapy or
surgical review.

Which body areas can be treated?

Inner upper arms are the most requested, followed by above the knees, abdomen,
décolletage and chest, neck, inner thighs and hands. Décolletage is among the most
rewarding, since it shows sun damage readily and is heavily affected by this
climate.

Will I have visible lumps afterwards?

Yes. Product is deposited at defined points rather than spread thinly, so you will
have visible raised blebs at each site immediately afterwards — more noticeable than
with classic boosters because each contains more product. They flatten as the product
diffuses, usually within 24 to 48 hours on body areas. Allow three to four days before
any event where the area will be visible.

How many sessions and how long does it last?

Two sessions four weeks apart is the protocol — one session is not a course.
Results peak at around six to eight weeks after the second session and typically last
about six months, sometimes extending to nine, after which maintenance is
recommended.

How much does body treatment cost in Mirdif, Dubai?

Body protocols in Dubai commonly start from around AED 3,500, with a full
two-session course typically AED 3,600 to AED 5,000 depending on areas and syringes
required. Facial bio-remodelling is lower, around AED 1,500 to AED 2,500 per session.
Always ask for the two-session course price. Call 04 268 8226.

Can it be reversed?

Yes — it is hyaluronic acid, so it can be dissolved with hyaluronidase if ever
needed, and we keep it on site. That is a meaningful advantage over collagen
stimulators such as PLLA and CaHA, which cannot be dissolved and stay in the tissue
until they resorb over years.

Does it treat cellulite or stretch marks?

No to cellulite, which is a structural issue involving fibrous bands and fat rather
than skin hydration. Stretch mark texture may soften marginally, but the marks
themselves remain. Neither is a realistic goal for this treatment, and you should be
sceptical of anyone claiming otherwise.

Why does body skin take longer to respond than the face?

Body skin is thicker, has fewer fibroblasts per unit area and experiences more
mechanical stress from movement and clothing. Inner arms and abdomen in particular
respond more slowly than facial skin, so patience through the first few weeks is
needed and the result should be judged at six to eight weeks after the second
session.
